Everyone has travel promises, and American Airlines AAdvantage Mastercard is the card that helps you fulfill them. Nearly half of pet owners (49%) admit to not traveling abroad due to concerns about their pets, with 68% citing guilt about leaving their pets behind. Considering that about ⅔ of our audience are pet owners, mainly dogs, how can we help them feel better about leaving their furry friends behind?

On average, dog pictures make up 20% of pictures on dog owners’ phones - more than trips (15%), themselves (11%) or food (6%). Dog owners post a picture or mention their dog on social media an average of six times per week.
We put that behavior and asked cardholders to share pictures of their pets along with their travel promise for the chance to win miles and a trusted pet sitter through our existing partnership with Rover. So while they fulfill a travel promise, their pet gets to live it up at home with pawdicures and gourmet food.
